When wildfires (exacerbated by climate change and gutted resources) swept across Spokane County, we turned our inaugural First Friday event into a wildfire relief benefit. We celebrated our showcased artists while gathering as a community to support our neighbors displaced and affected by this crisis. We had:
It was a hugely successful night. We raised over $1,500 for our box fan filter drive and collected carloads of clothing, pet supplies, toys, hygiene products, and more! |

We've been hard at work behind the scenes developing a monthly subscription service that gives you bang for your buck, while offering a more intimate way to connect with your favorite local artists. With a new theme and original content every month, you definitely don't want to miss out! Splat hosted an April Fool's Day paint-and-sip, complete with an (unexpected!) juggler and tea from Lunarium. 27 people sipped tea and painted clownsona portraits, with guidance by Nanette Cloud. |

| After a review of structure documents drafted by Splat's founder and former Ringleader Nanette Cloud, the founding collaborators voted to become a Council of Jesters. The Council consists of nine Jesters, each tasked with overseeing a different aspect of the organization.Details will be posted in the "About" section soon. |

| Grand opening was a smashing success! We met hundreds of folks, made zines buttons, vibed to some fantastic music, and sold lots of local artists' work. Thank you, Spokane, for embracing us with open arms! |

| We will be opening our doors at 10am on Saturday, January 31, so that folks can come in and pick up FREE protest signs! We will be offering 11"x17" and 8.5"x14" cardstock signs designed by Splat artists. Come by, grab a poster and a cup of tea, and then hit the streets! Supplies are limited. |

| After securing a space with Blue Door Theatre at the downtown Milk Bottle, the core Splat team worked their tails off over the New Year to convert the front lobby/retail space into the Spokane area's first brick-and-mortar space dedicated to local small press creations: zines, art prints, screenprinted goods, and the like. On January 10, we held our first public meeting and brought our social media online, posting announcements for our Grand Opening on January 31 from 12p-5p. |
